Started 6th and finished 5th, 4th and 4th (last final didnt record)
That looks a cool track 👍
Looks like the Pink truck met its match at last !!!😉
Gotta let someone else win once in a while 😉
Nice race. Did I see a couple of 4wd in that race too ?
Yeah, 4wd's were low so the class was mixed
Nice driving !......Still thinking that I might make a return. But what puts me off is that im really crap !
It doesnt matter as long as you have fun. If you like the older buggies theres a good amount of vintage/rear motor buggies going around, usually a good 2 heats worth plus its fairly relaxed racing.
That's a hard technical coarse
Nice day for it> how many racers roughly ?
There were about 35 today. Fairly good turnout for Mendip.
Bet was nice in the dry 😢
It was nice in the dry. Amazing the difference a week makes!
Been many years since I did any racing back in the day of SWORD's when there must have been at least 10 clubs in it. What the idea of 3 finals ? you must have been lucky with the weather too as I went past that area about 2.30 and the heaven opened !
Its the best 2 results of the 3 finals to count so I assume it allows for a bad final. Its only at regional or national level it tends to happen and only the A finalists. Some clubs do it too but would usually be for all finals if they do. We didnt escape the weather, it hammered it down about 12pm and we spent a good hour brushing and sucking up the tens of litres of water from the track, just small showers after that but track remained pretty waterlogged and very greasy.
Nice race!. is it this place thats closing ?
Yeah meant to be but I think they're still in discussions with the landlord to stay a little longer, not 100% sure of the whole story tbh.
Where is this
@@mike_dc3359 Mendip RC Raceway, its near Weston super mare in the southwest.
New sport called moto sky cross.
Nice racing !......does anybody run 4wd at trccc anymore ?
Varies from meeting to meeting. Sometimes none, sometimes a good 8-10. 4WD has died off since Covid.
Solid 3rd buddy ...Good start to the outdoor season..
Seeing this reminds me exactly why I will never race my bike - never
nice easy win. awesome track. What truck is it?
Thanks buddy. Its an Storm ST, seems to run nicely enough.
Back again in 2024, something pops up in life that reminds me of this, and i have to pop here for another watch.
#VTR1000R get up I need one SP2 OR SP1 Along with #Ducati916 lucky dude's 💯🏍️💨💨💨⭐🌟⭐🌟⭐🌟✊✊✊✌️🤙😎💯🤝🔥🔥🔥💯❤️🖤🤍❤️🖤🤍❤️🖤🤍❤️🖤🤍❤️🖤🤍❤️🏍️💨💨💨💨💨💨😎🤙✌️👊👍👏
Good race Gav. Did an actual human being think this was a good amount of hairpins to have on a track this small? lol Straight, hairpin, straight, hairpin.... Yawn....
OMG can someone put a decent track layout down for you guys? Lol!
Been the same layout since the regionals in like Aug and it'll be the same until the next one :) Its deffo not the most enjoyable layout. Gone are the days of a new layout for every meeting.
I knew it!! SO LONG AGO!!!! Oh well. Could’ve been 3 months ago Bla bla To race / RIDE, is to risk!!! EVERYTHING!!
Crappy race engines!!!! Either tweeked for HP beyond limitations OR crappy mechanics NOT DOING QUALITY WORK!!!!! I’ve had over 300 track days and ride at redline rpm on my farm roads with tuned stock engines AND BLOWN MOTORS PISSING OIL HAS NEVER HAPPENED!!!!! Beware of who touches yor bikes!! Best of luck!!!! to all Cheers to all good people
I'm a TT marshal. When even a lower speed crash happens under your nose the energy carried by the bike and rider seems immense. God only knows whst this one was like to witness.
Agreed. I have been at Brands Hatch when a bike ran through a gravel trap, and somersaulted into the catch fence, showering us spectators with gravel. And that was just at a club meeting, so maybe 80 or 90 mph. That was quite enough for me......
Aua
Final looked like carnage lol
Should had seen the other finals, ours was one of the better ones :)
Great win and some close battling with the green truck
Not a bad drive mate after getting caught up at the start 👍
Could had been worse but I needed a good start to stand any chance, downsides of being the slowest and not getting a good start :)
" oh my goodness " ( what a kick in the guts ! )
Nice one Gav. You got lucky a couple times there though :)
I think I was owed some luck from qualifying!
I think you owe me a rematch !!!
@@leebond8166 Prefer not with the brave moves you were pulling :) you had some pace!
@@dynamight1124 brave or stupid , gave Adam space lol . And I’d pulled off the inside line off that jump in qually just was like half a foot too left on this one there was no way round you and you rarely make mistakes didn’t know how to get past you with out a 1st class postage stamp
Some great on track battles..
Never fails to bring tears to this Yank's eyes....
Goodgreen
Nice mate you were soaking up lots of pressure in the last 3rd of the race ....
Easy
Great overtake on the red car
So, like, who won? White car? Not Red?
A forceful first few corners mate 😊
First rule of trucks: There are no rules.
Your driving and Car looks so smooth. Learnt something from that!
The 4WD wasn't great, it was slapping around quite a bit, I think I need to get a better oil combo to be honest, the 2WD felt lovely over the bumps. I saw your final, car looked fast! Big difference to the XB4?
why in Europe do they not use more pistol grip style radios?
Its mostly a UK thing, back in the 80's, 90's and early 2000's most cars were sold with a stick transmitter so if you were a kid and raced then thats what you started with. Anyone younger than like 25-30 probably races with a wheel in the UK. The rest of Europe tends to me wheel at any age. Any newcomers are pointed towards wheel as they are quite a bit cheaper and has more variety than stick.
'Too fast into the bombhole Michael'. Cool tip, as i kept doing the same. I thought it was caused by catching the grand canyon rut at the apex
I think there is a line where you can bomb into it, but theres also a few lines cause crashes! I wimped out and just went slower into it :)
What camera do you use?
Its a Mobius Maxi. Theres a few versions of the Mobius cameras, been good for me, had the Maxi for about 4 years and the original Mobius about 5 years prior.
Nice drive!
Nice run Gav 🍻
Trucking great run!
Amazing Leg 2 with the Big Ball! Unlucky for Stu in Leg 3, just left you to have some free practice ;)
Panic!
awesome
one of the things that "look easy, is very hard". i raced some custom semi medium end rc cars on these courses and damn i can't turn half as well as these guys do. so good job on everyone involved.
recommended never fails
Ah, this must be where Monty keeps his glock. Outside of that: 0 clue why this was recommended to me but that looks hard as fuck so good job to the contestants
Most videos I upload are there for the people that raced that evening to watch back but sometimes UA-cam seems to chuck them out there in peoples recommended for some reason :) Probably what you wanted if you were after that UA-cam cash!
Up next on ESPN 8 the ocho!
It's a bold strategy, Cotton. Let's see if it pays off for 'em.
i read somewhere that neymar watched this and fainted as he knows what real sportsmen can do and how big their balls are. that was fucking epic
